My journey to psychotherapy has very much been inspired by my previous work in international humanitarian and local social work fields, as well as my experiences of healing and connection through the natural world.
I specialize in collaboratively supporting clients to find tools that work for them to self-regulate their emotions and mind-body system in order to move through the many challenges that life can bring.
My special areas of interest include (but are not limited to) working with those with physical symptoms caused or worsened by mental health struggles, such as IBS, chronic pain, burnout, fatigue, anxiety, etc..
This is a compassionate & safe space for you. My practice seeks to be trauma-informed, socially just, accessible, culturally responsive, & rooted in efforts to decolonize the practice of psychotherapy. I am open to accountability in these efforts. We will process collaboratively together as you move toward a deeper sense of balance, health, and connection.
As a former Freediving instructor I have learned that relaxation is a skill that can be acquired and practiced, and can support coping with stress and anxiety. I will help you find your breath, and develop tools to support you on your personal journey.
In my personal life I love anything outdoors - hiking, camping, climbing, swimming - you name it! It is in these spaces, as well as through fostering healthy relationships and community, where I have found personal growth and healing. I find joy in helping make these spaces more accessible to others.
You are brave for seeking out support for yourself! I look forward to meeting you and possibly working with you along your own journey.
